OFFSHORE MAIN CRANE OPERATOR – HEAVY LIFT VESSELS

Job Description:
An international recruitment requirement is open for an experienced Offshore Main Crane Operator to work onboard heavy-lift offshore vessels. The successful candidate must have proven experience operating 400T+ main cranes and extensive offshore heavy-lift experience.
The position involves conducting heavy lifting and basket transfer operations while ensuring strict compliance with approved lifting procedures, HSE requirements and vessel operating limitations.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Safely operate main cranes within approved load, reach, weather and sea-state limitations.
- Execute heavy lifts and basket transfers in accordance with approved procedures.
- Coordinate lifting operations with the Deck Foreman, Bridge, Supervisors and Vessel Equipment teams.
- Manage crane interactions during simultaneous and multi-crane lifting operations.
- Conduct daily and weekly crane inspections, routine maintenance and logbook updates.
- Identify equipment issues and stop lifting operations when safety or technical conditions require.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE, lifting procedures and safe working practices.
Requirements:
- Stage 3 Certification.
- Extensive offshore experience on heavy-lift vessels.
- Proven experience operating 400T+ main cranes.
- Offshore Crane Operator Certification – Level 2 / Level 3, as applicable.
- Strong knowledge of lifting safety, vessel stability and crane limitations.
- Relevant offshore experience in a similar position.
