Job Description
We are recruiting an experienced Crane Operator for upcoming offshore assignments onboard a Walk-to-Work vessel.
The successful candidate will operate the vessel's crane for approved lifting and cargo-handling activities while maintaining safe working practices and following lifting plans and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the vessel's crane safely and efficiently within authorized limits.
- Conduct pre-use inspections and operational checks.
- Carry out lifting and cargo-handling operations in accordance with approved lifting plans.
- Coordinate with riggers, deck crew and lifting supervisors.
- Monitor weather, sea conditions and other operational factors affecting lifting activities.
- Maintain crane operating records and report equipment defects.
- Follow lifting procedures, risk assessments and permit-to-work requirements.
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings and emergency drills.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE and offshore lifting standards.
Requirements
- Brunei nationality – mandatory.
- Minimum 2 years / 24 months of relevant crane-operation experience.
- Previous offshore vessel or offshore crane experience.
- Valid crane operator qualification / competency certificate appropriate to the equipment.
- Relevant offshore safety and medical certificates.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong lifting-safety awareness and coordination skills.
- Ability to work safely as part of an offshore deck and lifting team.
