Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Crane Operator to join a Multipurpose Support Vessel (MPSV DP2) operating in the North Sea. The vessel was built in 2011, sails under the Norwegian flag, and is equipped with a 150-tonne SWL offshore crane. Joining is scheduled for 29 July with a 4-week contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of the vessel's offshore crane during cargo handling and offshore lifting operations while ensuring compliance with company procedures and offshore safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Operating the 150-tonne offshore crane during cargo transfer and lifting operations.
- Conducting pre-use inspections and routine maintenance checks on crane equipment.
- Performing lifting operations in accordance with approved lift plans and safety procedures.
- Coordinating with the bridge, deck crew, and offshore personnel to ensure safe operations.
- Maintaining crane operation records and complying with HSE and company requirements.
Requirements
- First Class Seaman License.
- Valid Crane Operator Certificate (Sparrows Stage 3, EnerMech Stage 3, G5, or AIS Survivex).
- Valid STCW certificates.
- Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
- HUET with CA-EBS.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Minimum 24 months of recent experience as Crane Operator on MPSV, OCV, DSV, or similar offshore vessels.
- Only applicants holding a valid EU passport or Ukrainian nationals with an EU residence permit will be considered due to Norwegian flag requirements.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
