Job Description
An experienced Stage 3 Crane Operator is required for a long-term, ongoing offshore project operating from Italy near Algerian waters, aboard a Heavy Lift Vessel.
The position involves operating a Sennebogen 7700 crane during offshore and maritime lifting operations. Candidates must hold a valid Stage 3 Crane Operator certification and have relevant offshore or maritime crane operating experience.
The project is scheduled to start in mid-October 2026, with a 6 weeks on / 6 weeks off rotation. The employer is specifically seeking personnel interested in returning to the project on a back-to-back basis for ongoing assignments.
An Algerian visa is required before mobilisation. Assistance with arranging the visa will be provided, provided candidates are able to apply from their country of residence.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Operate the Sennebogen 7700 crane safely and efficiently during offshore lifting operations.
- Carry out pre-use inspections and ensure crane equipment is ready for operation.
- Perform lifting, loading, unloading, and positioning of equipment and materials.
- Coordinate lifting activities with riggers, deck crew, and vessel officers.
- Follow approved lifting plans, operational procedures, and offshore HSE requirements.
Requirements
- Stage 3 Crane Operator Certification – Required
- Relevant offshore / maritime crane operating experience – Required
- Experience with Sennebogen 7700 is relevant to the position
- Valid STCW certificates, as applicable
- Valid offshore / maritime medical certificate
- Valid passport
- Passport must be valid for at least 6 months
- Ability to obtain an Algerian visa before mobilisation
- Candidate must be able to apply for the visa from their country of residence
- Proficiency in English communication
- Willingness to work a 6/6 rotation on an ongoing project
