Job Description
Apremar is seeking an experienced Crane Operator (COP) to join a Diving Support Vessel within its offshore fleet.
The successful candidate will operate offshore crane equipment to support cargo handling, lifting operations and the movement of materials during offshore activities. All operations must be carried out in accordance with approved lifting plans, equipment limits and onboard safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the vessel’s offshore crane for assigned lifting operations.
- Conduct pre-use inspections and monitor crane condition.
- Follow approved lifting plans and instructions from the responsible offshore personnel.
- Coordinate lifting operations with deck crew and other relevant teams.
- Report equipment defects and unsafe working conditions.
- Maintain crane operation records and comply with lifting safety procedures.
Requirements
- Relevant Crane Operator Certificate of Proficiency (COP) or applicable crane-operation certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience on offshore vessels.
- At least 6 months of experience on the same vessel type, where applicable to the assignment.
- Previous experience operating cranes on Diving Support Vessels or similar offshore vessels.
- Valid medical fitness certificate and travel documents.
- Relevant offshore safety and lifting certificates as required for the position.
- Good communication skills and a strong understanding of lifting safety.
- ADNOC approval eligibility is an advantage.
Employment Details
Vessel: Diving Support Vessel (DSV)
Rotation Options: 4 months on / 30 days off, or 2–3 months on / 1 month off, depending on the assignment.
