Crane Operator for CLV

Job Description

An offshore vessel operator is seeking an experienced Crane Operator for immediate mobilisation aboard a Construction Lay Vessel (CLV) / Offshore Vessel.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safe and efficient crane operations during offshore construction activities, including lifting, handling, and positioning equipment and materials. Previous CLV experience is an advantage, and candidates must hold a valid US Work Permit.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Operate offshore cranes safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures.
• Perform lifting and cargo-handling operations during offshore construction activities.
• Conduct pre-use checks and report any defects or operational issues.
• Coordinate lifting operations with deck crew, riggers, and offshore supervisors.
• Comply with all applicable safety, lifting, and environmental procedures.

Requirements

• Valid offshore crane operator certification/licence as applicable
• Valid STCW certificates, where applicable
• Valid offshore medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Valid US Work Permit – Mandatory
• Previous CLV experience – Advantage
• Relevant offshore crane operating experience
• Valid passport and required maritime/offshore documentation
