Job Description:
We are currently recruiting an Assistant Crane Operator (ACO) for an offshore assignment based in Invergordon, United Kingdom. This is a short-term opportunity with an immediate start, ideal for candidates who are already based in the UK and available to mobilise at short notice.
The successful candidate will assist with offshore crane operations, support lifting activities, and ensure that all lifting tasks are carried out safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and offshore regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Assist the Crane Operator during lifting and cargo handling operations.
Support preparation and execution of routine and non-routine lifting activities.
Carry out pre-use inspections of lifting equipment and report defects.
Maintain clear communication with the lifting team and deck personnel.
Follow all company HSE procedures and offshore safety regulations.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates.
Medical Fitness Certificate.
Proficiency in English communication.
Must be based in the United Kingdom and able to travel to Invergordon at short notice.
Previous offshore lifting or crane operation experience is preferred.
Relevant offshore lifting or crane operation certificates are advantageous.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Good understanding of offshore safety procedures.
