Job Description
A leading maritime company is seeking an experienced AB / Crane Operator to join a SCOV DP2 vessel operating in the North Sea.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting deck operations, offshore lifting activities, crane operations, maintenance, and general vessel duties while ensuring compliance with applicable maritime and HSE requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform Able Seaman and Crane Operator duties onboard
- Operate the vessel’s crane safely and efficiently
- Support offshore lifting, construction, and installation activities
- Prepare, secure, and handle loads for lifting operations
- Assist with deck, mooring, cargo, and general offshore operations
- Inspect and maintain lifting gear and associated equipment
- Carry out deck maintenance, cleaning, and preservation duties
- Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety meetings
- Follow all vessel, company, HSE, and offshore safety procedures
Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications
- Valid First Class Seaman License
- Valid Crane Operator’s Certificate, one of the following:
- Sparrows Stage 3
- EnerMech Stage 3
- G5
- AIS Survivex
- Valid CoC and Flag State Endorsement
- Valid STCW certificates
- Valid Medical Certificate
Experience
- Minimum 18 months of actual onboard experience on:
- Experience in the rank of AB / Crane Operator
- Relevant offshore vessel experience
- Good English communication skills
- Strong safety awareness and teamwork skills
Nationality / Residence Requirements
Due to the vessel’s Norwegian flag requirements, applications will be considered only from:
- Candidates holding a valid EU passport, or
- Ukrainian nationals holding a valid EU residence permit
