Job Description
HPR is seeking an experienced Able Seaman (AB) / Stage 3 Crane Operator for an upcoming offshore assignment aboard a Dive Support Vessel (DSV) in the UK.
The vessel is equipped with a MacGregor 250-tonne Knuckle Boom Crane. Candidates with previous DSV and MacGregor crane experience are preferred.
Candidates are expected to join ASAP for familiarisation, with the main trip commencing on 23 September 2026 for approximately 4 weeks.
All mandatory certification submitted to HPR, including survival and medical certificates, will be subject to verification and authentication as part of the company's compliance process.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Perform AB deck duties and support daily DSV operations.
- Operate the MacGregor 250t Knuckle Boom Crane safely during lifting and cargo-handling operations.
- Conduct pre-use crane and lifting equipment checks and report defects.
- Assist with mooring, cargo handling, deck maintenance, and offshore support activities.
- Coordinate lifting operations with riggers, deck crew, and vessel officers.
- Follow all vessel, lifting, and offshore HSE procedures.
Requirements
- Valid AB Certificate of Competency (CoC)
- Stage 3 Crane Operator Certification
- Previous DSV experience – Preferred
- Previous MacGregor Crane experience – Preferred
- Experience with Knuckle Boom Cranes is an advantage
- Valid OGUK Medical
- Valid BOSIET or FOET & EBS
- Valid passport
- Valid STCW certificates as applicable
- Proficiency in English communication
- All submitted mandatory certificates must be available for verification and authentication
