Job Description

Worldwide Recruitment Solutions is recruiting an experienced Chief Officer to join a DP1 Survey Vessel operating in Namibia.

The successful candidate will assist the Master with the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, supervise deck activities, manage onboard safety procedures and support survey operations.

Candidates must be based in Namibia and possess the required DP qualification and valid maritime certificates.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Master with vessel operations and safe navigation.
• Supervise deck crew and coordinate deck maintenance activities.
• Support vessel positioning and offshore survey operations.
• Ensure compliance with onboard safety and environmental procedures.
• Organize emergency drills and monitor the readiness of safety equipment.
• Maintain deck, operational and safety documentation.

Requirements

• Must be based in Namibia.
• Valid Chief Officer / Chief Mate Certificate of Competency (CoC).
• Full Dynamic Positioning (DP) qualification, as required by the recruiter.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid Fast Rescue Boat certificate.
• Valid passport.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Valid Seaman’s Book.
• Previous experience as Chief Officer on survey or offshore vessels is preferred.
• Good command of English.
• Availability to join on 4 November 2026 for the full six-week assignment.
