We are currently recruiting an experienced Chief Officer (DP2) to join a DP2 Offshore Vessel operating on an ADNOC offshore project in the United Arab Emirates.
The Chief Officer is responsible for managing all deck operations, supervising cargo handling, and maintaining safety compliance while standing Dynamic Positioning navigational watches. The role involves working closely with the Master and crew to ensure safe and efficient offshore operations in compliance with international maritime regulations and offshore oil and gas industry standards.
This position requires strong leadership skills, extensive DP2 vessel experience, and the ability to operate effectively in a high-performance offshore environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing all deck department operations and supervising deck crew
• Planning and supervising cargo loading, unloading, and securing operations
• Standing DP2 navigational watches and ensuring safe vessel positioning
• Monitoring Dynamic Positioning systems and maintaining station keeping
• Ensuring full compliance with Safety Management System and offshore regulations
• Supervising maintenance and inspection of deck equipment
• Assisting the Master in vessel operations, administration, and reporting
• Conducting crew training and safety drills
• Ensuring environmental protection and pollution prevention compliance
Requirements
• Valid Certificate of Competency as Chief Officer Unlimited
• Valid Dynamic Positioning Operator Certificate
• Valid STCW certificates
• Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Chief Officer on DP2 offshore vessels
• Experience on ADNOC or Middle East offshore projects preferred
• Valid Passport and Seaman’s Book
• Good English communication skills
