Job Description

OSM Thome Offshore is recruiting an experienced Chief Mate for an upcoming Accommodation W2W DP2 vessel project in Brunei. The successful candidate will assist the Master with vessel operations, navigation, safety management, and the coordination of deck activities.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist the Master with safe navigation and vessel operations.
• Supervise deck crew and coordinate routine deck maintenance.
• Support W2W operations and offshore project activities.
• Maintain safety procedures, emergency preparedness, and required documentation.
• Assist with cargo operations and ensure compliance with company policies.

Requirements

• Minimum 18–24 months of experience as Chief Mate on the same type of vessel.
• Appropriate Chief Mate Certificate of Competency and required endorsements.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Valid passport and seafarer’s documentation.
• Relevant DP qualifications, where required for the position.
• Good leadership, teamwork, and English communication skills.
