Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Able Seaman to join a Survey Vessel operating on a project in the River Thames, United Kingdom. The successful candidate will support daily deck operations, assist with basic engine room duties, prepare meals for a small crew, and contribute to the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the vessel. This is a short-term contract with an immediate joining date, offering the opportunity to work in a professional survey operation.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Perform routine deck operations, including mooring and unmooring of the vessel.
Assist with basic engine room tasks and support engineering personnel when required.
Prepare meals for a crew of two and maintain a clean galley.
Maintain vessel cleanliness and carry out general housekeeping duties.
Support the safe and efficient operation of the vessel in accordance with company procedures.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates.
Medical fitness certificate.
Proficiency in English communication.
Valid UK FWP (Full Work Permit).
Basic knowledge of engine room operations.
Ability to cook for a crew of two.
Experience assisting with mooring and unmooring operations.
Willingness to maintain vessel cleanliness and perform general housekeeping duties.
