Job Description:
A marine services company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a qualified Able Seaman (Deck Crew) to join its fleet of oil industry support vessels. The successful candidate will assist in deck operations, navigational watchkeeping, mooring activities, and the safe operation of deck equipment while ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations and company safety procedures.
This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work in a professional offshore environment supporting marine operations within the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Contribute to maintaining a safe navigational watch during vessel operations.
Assist in berthing, anchoring, towing, and mooring operations.
Operate and maintain deck machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
Operate survival craft, rescue boats, and lifesaving appliances during drills and emergencies.
Support deck maintenance activities and comply with onboard safety procedures.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Mandatory STCW White List II/5 Certificate (Able Seafarer Deck)
Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
Proficiency in English communication (spoken and written)
Basic computer skills
Ability to safely handle mooring lines during docking and undocking operations
Ability to operate deck equipment safely and efficiently
Minimum 1 year of onboard experience on oil industry vessels within the UAE
Valid Passport and Seaman's Book
