Job Description

Fortis Engineering is seeking a qualified Able Seaman (AB) to join its marine operations.

The successful candidate will support deck operations, mooring activities, vessel maintenance, and general onboard duties while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

Position Available

• Able Seaman (AB)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform deck maintenance, painting, and preservation work
• Participate in mooring and anchoring operations
• Assist with cargo and other deck activities as required
• Maintain deck equipment and working areas
• Follow instructions from senior deck officers
• Participate in safety drills and emergency procedures

Requirements

• Valid Able Seaman Certificate of Proficiency (CoP), as applicable
• Valid STCW certification
• Valid seafarer's documents and certificates
• Relevant experience as Able Seaman
• Good English communication skills
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Strong safety awareness
