Job Description
Helder Maritiem is currently seeking an experienced Able Seaman (AB) to join a Cable Lay Vessel operating in Western Europe under the Malta Flag.
The successful candidate will support deck operations, cable laying activities, navigational watchkeeping, mooring operations, maintenance duties, and offshore construction support while ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations and offshore safety standards.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced ABs with previous offshore, cable laying, or construction vessel experience.

Job Responsibilities
Perform navigational watchkeeping duties as assigned
Support cable laying and offshore construction operations
Participate in mooring, anchoring, and deck activities
Carry out deck maintenance, painting, and preservation work
Operate deck machinery and assist with lifting operations
Maintain deck equipment in operational condition
Participate in emergency drills and safety meetings
Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and international maritime regulations

Requirements
EU Nationals Only
Valid Able Seaman (AB) Certificate
Previous seagoing experience is mandatory
Previous Offshore, Cable Lay, or Construction Vessel experience preferred
Valid STCW 2010 certification package
Valid passport and seaman book
Valid offshore medical certificate
Good English communication skills
Strong safety awareness and teamwork abilities
Physically and medically fit for offshore service
