Job Description

Apremar is recruiting an experienced Able Seaman (AB) to join an Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessel (AHTS).

The successful candidate will assist with deck operations, anchor-handling activities, mooring operations and routine maintenance. The AB must follow instructions from deck officers and comply with all onboard safety procedures during offshore operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with anchor-handling, towing and mooring operations.
• Perform routine deck maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Handle ropes, wires and other deck equipment safely.
• Support cargo-handling and general vessel operations.
• Maintain deck cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Participate in safety drills and emergency response duties.

Requirements

• Relevant AB qualification and valid certificates of proficiency, as applicable.
• Minimum 2 years of experience on offshore vessels.
• At least 6 months of experience on the same vessel type (AHTS).
• Previous experience with anchor-handling or offshore deck operations is preferred.
• Valid STCW certificates appropriate to the position.
• Valid medical fitness certificate, passport and seaman’s book.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• ADNOC approval eligibility is an advantage.

Employment Details

Vessel: AHTS
Rotation Options: 4 months on / 30 days off, or 2–3 months on / 1 month off, depending on the assignment.
