Job Description:
Atlas Nextwave is urgently recruiting an experienced Able Seaman / Cook (AB/Cook) to join a tug boat operating in the United Kingdom. This is an 8-week contract with immediate mobilization. The ideal candidate will combine deck operations with catering duties and preferably have experience in anchor handling operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Perform deck operations including mooring, anchoring, and general seamanship duties.
Prepare and serve daily meals for the crew while maintaining galley hygiene.
Assist with anchor handling operations when required.
Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of deck areas and accommodation spaces.
Follow company safety procedures and participate in emergency drills.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Valid UK Right to Work or UK Frontier Worker Permit (FWP)
Previous experience as an AB/Cook on tug boats or similar offshore vessels
Cooking experience is required
Anchor handling experience is preferred
Valid Passport and Seaman's Book
