Job Description:
TOS People is looking for an experienced Able Seaman (AB) to join a Tug / Workboat operating in the Netherlands.
The successful candidate must have previous experience working on tugs or workboats, as well as experience with docking operations. The position is available for an immediate start and is offered for a 4-week assignment.
The AB will also be responsible for preparing meals for a small crew of two people onboard.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Perform general Able Seaman and deck duties onboard the tug/workboat.
Assist with docking, mooring, unmooring, and other vessel manoeuvring operations.
Carry out routine deck maintenance and ensure deck equipment is kept in good condition.
Assist with safe vessel operations and comply with onboard safety procedures.
Prepare meals for the two-person crew and maintain appropriate galley hygiene.
Requirements:
Previous experience as an Able Seaman (AB).
Proven experience on tugs or workboats.
Previous docking experience.
Valid STCW certificates.
Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
Valid Seaman’s Book and Passport.
Good English communication skills.
Ability and willingness to cook for two people.
Good physical fitness and safety awareness.
