Position Overview
OSM Thome is seeking an experienced Able Seafarer (AB) to join an offshore multipurpose vessel operating in Brazil. The AB will be part of a professional deck team, supporting safe and efficient vessel and offshore operations in accordance with company procedures and international maritime standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out deck duties including mooring, anchoring, cargo handling, and rigging operations
- Perform lookout duties and assist on the bridge when required
- Maintain deck equipment, tools, and working areas in good operational condition
- Follow all HSE and safety procedures and actively participate in drills and toolbox talks
- Support offshore and marine operations as directed by the Officers and Bosun
Requirements
- Valid Able Seafarer (AB) Certificate
- Valid STCW certification
- Previous experience as AB, preferably on offshore or multipurpose vessels
- Valid medical fitness certificate
- Relevant offshore certificates (where applicable)
- Good command of English, both spoken and written
- Strong safety awareness, teamwork mindset, and ability to work in offshore conditions
