Job Description

Clyde Recruitment is inviting applications from experienced Able Seamen (AB) for opportunities onboard a Jack Up Barge operating in the UK.

The successful candidate will support deck operations, routine maintenance, mooring activities and general offshore vessel operations while maintaining high standards of safety and equipment readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine deck maintenance, cleaning and preservation.
• Assist with mooring, anchoring and other deck operations.
• Handle deck equipment and tools safely.
• Support offshore operations and cargo-handling activities as required.
• Inspect and maintain deck equipment and work areas.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings and emergency drills.
• Follow company HSE procedures and vessel safety requirements.
• Report equipment defects and unsafe working conditions.

Requirements

• Valid Able Seaman qualification / STCW II/5 certification, as applicable.
• Relevant deck and seagoing experience.
• Previous offshore vessel or Jack Up Barge experience preferred.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Valid passport and Seaman's Book, as applicable.
• Good command of English.
• Strong teamwork and safety-awareness skills.
• Ability to work safely in an offshore environment.
