Job Description:

South Point is recruiting an experienced Able Bodied Seaman (AB) for an upcoming offshore project aboard a DP3 Semi-Submersible Accommodation Vessel.

The successful candidate will support daily deck operations, mooring, anchoring, routine maintenance, and the upkeep of deck equipment and lifesaving appliances. Applicants must be Malaysian nationals with relevant deck experience and valid maritime certificates.

The estimated joining date is November 2026, subject to final confirmation.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Carry out routine deck maintenance, cleaning, painting, and preservation.
• Assist with mooring, anchoring, and general deck operations.
• Inspect and maintain deck equipment and lifesaving appliances as assigned.
• Participate in onboard safety drills and emergency preparedness activities.
• Follow instructions from deck officers and comply with onboard safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Malaysian nationality – mandatory.
• Relevant experience as an Able Bodied Seaman.
• Previous offshore or accommodation-vessel experience is an advantage.
• Valid STCW certificates and applicable endorsements.
• Valid Certificate of Proficiency (CoP) or other qualifications appropriate to the position.
• Valid medical fitness certificate and Seaman’s Book, where applicable.
• Good English communication skills and a strong safety-conscious attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an offshore crew.
• Availability for the estimated November 2026 joining date, subject to confirmation.
