AB for AHTS Vessel (UK)

Job Description

Faststream is recruiting an experienced Able Seaman (AB) to join an AHTS vessel for a UK offshore assignment.

The contract is scheduled from 23 September to 22 October 2026. Due to contract requirements, candidates must be from the UK or a NATO country and must hold the required UK work permit.

Experience with buoy maintenance and mooring operations is beneficial. The position provides an own cabin and onboard meals prepared by a cook.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Perform general AB deck duties and support daily AHTS operations.
• Assist with mooring, buoy maintenance, anchor-handling, and deck operations.
• Support lifting and cargo-handling activities.
• Maintain deck equipment and ensure good housekeeping standards.
• Follow vessel safety, security, and offshore operating procedures.

Requirements

• Valid AB Certificate
• Security Duties – Mandatory
• Enclosed Space Training – Preferred
• Crane / Slinger Certificate – Preferred
• Experience with Buoy Maintenance / Mooring Operations – Beneficial
• Valid STCW certificates
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• UK Work Permit – Required
• UK or NATO country nationality – Required due to contract requirements
• Valid passport and seaman’s book
