AB / Deckhand for Cable Lay Vessel

Job Description

An experienced Able Seaman / Deckhand is required to join a Cable Lay Vessel for an upcoming offshore project. The successful candidate must have previous Cable Lay Vessel experience and be familiar with offshore deck operations and vessel-specific working procedures.

The position is expected to start from mid to the end of October 2026.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Perform general deck and seamanship duties onboard the Cable Lay Vessel.
• Assist with cable-laying and associated deck operations as required.
• Support mooring, anchoring, lifting, and cargo-handling activities.
• Maintain deck equipment and working areas in a safe and orderly condition.
• Follow vessel HSE procedures and instructions from the deck management team.

Requirements

• Previous Cable Lay Vessel experience – mandatory.
• Valid HDA (Helideck Assistant) certification.
• Relevant AB / Deckhand experience.
• Valid offshore and maritime certificates applicable to the position.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Good English communication skills.
• Valid passport and relevant seafarer documentation.
