Job Description

Nimbus Marine Group is seeking a qualified Third Officer to join an Offshore Construction Vessel operating in Sabah, Malaysia, for an assignment scheduled from November 2026 to January 2027.

The successful candidate will support safe navigation, bridge watchkeeping, and the implementation of onboard safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Keep navigational watches as assigned.
• Assist with passage planning and bridge operations.
• Support the maintenance and inspection of navigational and safety equipment.
• Participate in emergency drills and safety activities.
• Maintain accurate bridge records and follow the Master’s instructions.

Requirements

• Valid Deck Certificate of Competency appropriate for the Third Officer position.
• Previous experience on offshore vessels is preferred.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Valid passport and seafarer’s documents.
• Good English communication skills.
• Availability for the November 2026 – January 2027 assignment.
• Sabahan crew candidates are sought for this opportunity.
