Job Description:
SWAR INDIA SHIPPING SERVICES PVT. LTD. is looking for an experienced Second Officer to join a Research Vessel (GRT 1000).
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of Deck Officer experience and possess strong knowledge of navigation, passage planning, ECDIS, and GMDSS. Experience with voyage documentation, safety procedures, and emergency drills is required.
Previous research vessel experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Assisting the Master with safe navigation and passage planning.
• Maintaining and updating navigational charts and publications.
• Operating and monitoring ECDIS, radar, and GMDSS equipment.
• Maintaining voyage documentation and navigational records.
• Participating in safety inspections, drills, and emergency response operations.

• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
• Minimum 5 years of Deck Officer experience.
• Good knowledge of ECDIS and GMDSS.
• Experience in navigation, passage planning, and voyage documentation.
• Good knowledge of English communication.
• Previous research vessel experience preferred.
