Job Description:
Seaspan is recruiting a Wiper with previous engine room experience to join a Pure Car Carrier (PCC). Candidates with previous PCC vessel experience are preferred. A valid US Visa is an advantage for early deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting the engine department with routine maintenance activities.
- Supporting engineers and engine room ratings during machinery operations.
- Cleaning and maintaining engine room areas and equipment.
- Assisting with lubrication and basic machinery maintenance.
- Handling tools and equipment as instructed by senior engine crew.
- Following onboard safety procedures and participating in emergency drills.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Wiper (WPR) onboard.
- Preferably with PCC vessel experience.
- Valid STCW certificates.
- Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
- Valid Seaman's Book and Passport.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Valid US Visa is an advantage for early deployment.
