Job Description:
PTC is currently seeking an experienced Fitter / Welder to join its fleet of Bulk Vessels. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out welding, fabrication, and mechanical repair work onboard, supporting the engineering department in maintaining the vessel's machinery, structural components, and equipment in safe operational condition.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and steel repair work onboard.
Carry out maintenance and repair of machinery, piping, and structural components.
Assist the engineering team during planned maintenance and emergency repairs.
Maintain workshop tools and equipment in safe working condition.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety procedures and international maritime regulations.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Previous experience as Fitter / Welder on Bulk Vessels or other merchant vessels
Strong welding, fabrication, and mechanical repair skills
