Vessel Type: Oil Chemical Tanker
A reputable shipping company is seeking an experienced Pumpman to join a newly built Oil Chemical Tanker. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining the vessel's cargo pumping systems, ensuring safe cargo transfer operations, and supporting the engine and deck departments during loading and discharging activities.
The vessel is scheduled to join in Istanbul on 9 August, operating between Istanbul and Norway under the NIS flag.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Operate and maintain cargo pumping and cargo handling systems.
Monitor cargo loading, discharge, and tank transfer operations.
Carry out routine inspections and maintenance of cargo pumps and pipelines.
Assist with cargo tank preparation, cleaning, and safety procedures.
Ensure compliance with company procedures, MARPOL, and tanker safety regulations.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Previous experience as Pumpman on Oil Chemical Tankers is preferred
SVANEHOJ pump experience is considered a strong advantage
Ukrainian and Georgian candidates are welcome to apply
