Job Description:
Faststream Recruitment is working with a growing shipping company in Greece that is strengthening its tanker operations team and is seeking an experienced Senior Tanker Operator.
This permanent shore-based position is suited to a commercially aware tanker operations professional who wants to take ownership within a growing shipping business. The successful candidate will manage tanker operations across time charter and spot market activity, working closely with chartering teams, vessels, brokers, agents, terminals and clients to ensure smooth voyage execution.
The role provides strong exposure to the global tanker market, opportunities for international travel and the chance to build a broad professional network while contributing directly to the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Managing tanker voyage operations across time charter and spot market activity.
Coordinating with vessels, charterers, brokers, agents, terminals and internal stakeholders.
Monitoring vessel performance, bunkers, port calls, delays and voyage progress.
Managing operational documentation and ensuring accurate system updates.
Supporting claims, demurrage and post-fixture processes.
Using IMOS as part of the daily operational workflow.
Travelling internationally when required to support business development and professional relationships.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of tanker operations experience.
Strong previous tanker operations experience, ideally across time charter and/or spot market desks.
Proven experience using IMOS.
Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Proactive, commercially aware and highly detail-focused approach.
An ex-seafarer background would be highly advantageous.
Existing right to live and work in Greece is essential.
Good command of English.
