Job Description:
An established shipping company is recruiting 9 experienced Oilers to join its Bulk Carrier fleet. The successful candidates will support the engine department with routine machinery operations, maintenance, lubrication, and general engine-room duties. Candidates with relevant experience onboard bulk carriers or similar merchant vessels are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Assist the engineering team with daily engine-room operations.
Carry out lubrication and routine maintenance of machinery and equipment.
Monitor machinery and report defects or abnormalities to engineering officers.
Assist with cleaning and housekeeping of the engine room.
Follow all onboard safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Valid Oiler certification/documentation as applicable
Previous experience onboard Bulk Carriers or similar vessels preferred
Valid Passport and Seaman's Book
Ability to work effectively as part of a multicultural crew
