Job Description:
Seaspan is looking for an experienced Oiler to join the Engine Department onboard a Pure Car Carrier (PCC) or Ro-Ro Container Vessel. Candidates with relevant experience on these vessel types are preferred. A valid US Visa is an advantage for early deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting the engine department with routine maintenance and operational duties.
- Supporting engineers during machinery inspections and maintenance.
- Monitoring and maintaining engine room equipment as instructed.
- Performing cleaning and housekeeping duties in the engine room.
- Assisting with lubrication and other routine engine room tasks.
- Following onboard safety procedures and participating in drills.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Oiler (OLR).
- Experience onboard Pure Car Carrier (PCC) or Ro-Ro Container Vessels.
- Valid STCW certificates.
- Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
- Valid Seaman's Book and Passport.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Valid US Visa is an advantage for early deployment.
