Job Description:
Translift Ship Management, Inc. is hiring experienced Oilers for domestic Oil Tanker vessels. Candidates with experience on either tanker or non-tanker vessels are encouraged to apply. The Oiler will assist the engineering department with engine-room operations, machinery maintenance, lubrication, cleaning, and general technical duties onboard.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assist engineering officers with daily engine-room operations.
- Perform routine lubrication, cleaning, and maintenance of machinery.
- Assist with inspections, repairs, and machinery overhauls.
- Monitor equipment and report any abnormalities to engineering officers.
- Follow onboard safety procedures and company regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid STCW certificates.
- Valid medical fitness certificate.
- Relevant certification and seafarer's documents.
- Previous experience as an Oiler.
- Tanker or non-tanker vessel experience accepted.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Ability to work safely and effectively as part of the engine-room team.
