Oiler for Container Carrier Vessel

Job Description

SSM Maritime Services Inc. is recruiting an experienced Oiler for a Container Vessel. The Oiler will assist the engine department with machinery watchkeeping, maintenance, lubrication, cleaning, and general engine-room operations.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist engineering officers with machinery operation and maintenance.
• Carry out lubrication and routine engine-room maintenance.
• Monitor machinery and report abnormalities.
• Assist with repairs and planned maintenance.
• Maintain engine-room cleanliness and housekeeping.

Requirements

• Relevant Oiler experience.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Valid seafarer documents.
• Container vessel experience is an advantage.
• Good English communication skills.
