Job Description:
SSM Maritime Services Inc. is looking for an experienced Oiler to join a Container Carrier Vessel. The successful candidate will assist the engine department with machinery monitoring, routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and general engine-room operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting engineers with routine engine-room operations.
- Monitoring and lubricating machinery and equipment.
- Carrying out cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Assisting with inspections and minor repair work.
- Following engine-room safety procedures and company regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Oiler.
- Valid STCW certificates.
- Medical fitness certificate.
- Valid seafarer documents.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Container Carrier Vessel experience is preferred.
