Job Description:
Ventis Maritime Corp. is hiring qualified Oilers to join Container Ship vessels. The successful candidates will assist the engine department with the operation, monitoring, lubrication, and maintenance of machinery onboard while ensuring safe and efficient engine-room operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Assist engineers with the operation and monitoring of main and auxiliary machinery.
Perform lubrication, cleaning, and routine maintenance of engine-room equipment.
Assist with planned maintenance and inspections.
Monitor machinery condition and report defects or abnormalities.
Maintain a clean and safe engine-room environment and follow onboard safety procedures.
Requirements:
Previous experience as an Oiler
Container Ship experience preferred
Valid Oiler certification/COP as applicable
Valid STCW certificates
Valid medical fitness certificate
Valid seafarer's documents
Good command of English
Ability to work effectively as part of a multinational crew
Availability for deployment by end of September 2026
