Oiler for Chemical Tanker Vessel

Job Description

PT Nesia Cipta Akasah is recruiting an Oiler for a 30,000 GRT Chemical Tanker operating in the Iran war zone. The Oiler will support the engine department with machinery monitoring, lubrication, maintenance, cleaning, and other routine engine-room duties under the supervision of the engineering officers.

The position is scheduled for joining at the end of September. The employer states that the basic salary will be provided as a bonus.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with routine operation and monitoring of engine-room machinery.
• Carrying out lubrication, cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks.
• Supporting engineers during maintenance and repair activities.
• Reporting machinery abnormalities to the responsible engineering officer.
• Maintaining a clean and safe engine-room working environment.

Requirements

• Valid Oiler certification / relevant engine-room qualification.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
• Valid Seafarer’s Book and passport.
• Relevant Oiler experience on tanker vessels; chemical tanker experience is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Willingness and ability to work in the stated Iran / war-zone operating area.
