Oiler for Bulk Carrier Vessel

Job Description:

Global Gateway Crewing Services Inc. is seeking an Oiler to join a Bulk Carrier vessel. The successful candidate will assist the engine department with routine machinery maintenance, lubrication, cleaning, watchkeeping duties, and other tasks under the direction of the engineering officers.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist with routine maintenance of engines and machinery.
• Carry out lubrication and cleaning of machinery and engine-room equipment.
• Assist engineering officers during watchkeeping duties.
• Monitor machinery and report abnormalities or defects.
• Follow engine-room safety procedures and company instructions.

Requirements:

• Valid STCW certificates.
• Medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Previous experience as an Oiler on merchant vessels is preferred.
• Bulk Carrier experience is an advantage.
