Job Description:
Our client is urgently recruiting Oilers to join a Bulk Carrier Vessel operating on a tramping trade. The Oiler will assist the engine department with machinery watchkeeping, maintenance, cleaning, and other engine-room duties under the supervision of engineering officers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting engineers with routine machinery maintenance.
- Supporting engine-room watchkeeping duties as assigned.
- Cleaning and maintaining machinery and engine-room areas.
- Assisting with lubrication and basic machinery checks.
- Following all onboard safety procedures and instructions.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience as an Oiler on merchant vessels.
- Breakbulk vessel experience is advantageous.
- Valid STCW certificates.
- Valid medical fitness certificate.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Good knowledge of engine-room safety practices.
