Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Motorman to join a Self-Propelled Jack Up Barge DP2 operating in the North Sea. Joining is ASAP with an 8-week contract. Salary is negotiable based on experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the engine department in the safe operation, maintenance, and repair of all machinery and equipment onboard while ensuring compliance with company procedures and international maritime regulations.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting engineers with the operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary machinery.
- Performing routine inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and maintenance of engine room equipment.
- Monitoring machinery performance and reporting any defects or abnormalities.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized engine room environment.
- Following all HSE procedures and participating in emergency drills and safety activities.
Requirements
- First Class Able Seafarer Engine License.
- Valid STCW certificates.
- Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
- BOSIET with CA-EBS.
- GWO Sea Survival Certificate.
- GWO Working at Height Certificate.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Minimum 12 months of recent experience as Motorman on Self-Propelled Jack Up Barges or similar offshore vessels.
- Only EU Nationals holding a valid UK Work Permit or Ukrainian nationals under UK Protection Status will be considered.
