Job Description:
We are currently looking for an experienced Motorman to join a hopper dredger operating in the Netherlands. The successful candidate will support the engine department with the safe operation, maintenance, inspection, and general upkeep of the vessel's machinery and equipment.
The position is open to candidates with European residence and requires a valid Certificate of Competency with STCW Code A-III/5. Previous experience on hopper dredgers is preferred. Joining is scheduled for 26 August 2026, on a 6 weeks on / 6 weeks off rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Assist the engineering team with routine operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
Carry out engine room inspections and monitor machinery condition.
Assist with cleaning, lubrication, and planned maintenance tasks.
Support engineers during repairs, troubleshooting, and other engine room operations.
Maintain a safe and clean engine room environment in accordance with company procedures.
Requirements:
European residence
Valid Certificate of Competency with STCW Code A-III/5
Previous hopper dredger experience is preferred
Valid STCW certificates
Valid medical fitness certificate
Ability to work effectively as part of an international crew
