Master for VLCC Tanker Vessel

Vessel Type: Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC)

Job Description:

Jawar Al Khaleej Maritime L.L.C. is recruiting an experienced Master to join its newly acquired VLCC. The successful candidate will have extensive command experience and a strong background in crude oil tanker operations, preferably onboard VLCCs.

The Master will be responsible for the overall safety, navigation, operation, and management of the vessel, ensuring compliance with company procedures, international maritime regulations, and applicable environmental and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Take overall command and responsibility for the vessel, crew, cargo, and onboard operations.

• Ensure safe navigation and compliance with international maritime regulations and company procedures.

• Supervise crude oil cargo operations, including loading, discharge, and cargo safety.

• Maintain onboard safety, security, environmental protection, and emergency preparedness.

• Coordinate with company management, charterers, terminals, and port authorities.

Requirements:

• Valid Master Certificate of Competency (CoC) appropriate for the vessel.

• Valid STCW certificates and required tanker endorsements.

• Valid seafarer's medical fitness certificate.

• Valid passport, seaman's book, and required travel documents.

• Extensive sea service as Master on crude oil tankers; VLCC experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of tanker safety, cargo operations, ISM, and international maritime regulations.

• Good command of English and strong leadership and communication skills.
