Job Description:
Spectrum Marine and Ship Management Inc. is recruiting an experienced Master to join tanker vessels, including VLCC, Aframax, and Suezmax vessels. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the safe navigation, cargo operations, crew management, and compliance of the vessel.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Take overall command and responsibility for the safe operation of the tanker.
Ensure safe navigation and compliance with international maritime regulations.
Supervise tanker cargo operations, including loading, discharge, and ballast operations.
Manage the vessel's crew and maintain high standards of safety and discipline.
Ensure compliance with ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISPS, and company procedures.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Valid Master Mariner Certificate of Competency
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Previous experience as Master on VLCC, Aframax, or Suezmax tankers
Relevant tanker experience and knowledge of tanker cargo operations
Valid Passport and Seaman's Book
