Master for Tanker Vessel

Job Description

Wallem Shipmanagement is hiring an experienced Master to join an Tanker Vessel.

The Master will be responsible for the overall command of the vessel, ensuring safe navigation, cargo operations, crew management, and compliance with international maritime regulations and company procedures.

The position is suitable for qualified Masters with relevant tanker experience and the required certification for command.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Maintain overall command and ensure safe operation of the vessel.
• Supervise navigation, passage planning, and bridge operations.
• Oversee safe loading, carriage, and discharge of asphalt / bitumen cargo.
• Manage onboard crew and ensure compliance with company policies and maritime regulations.
• Maintain high standards of safety, security, and environmental protection.

Requirements

• Valid Master Certificate of Competency (CoC)
• Relevant tanker experience, preferably asphalt / bitumen tanker experience
• Valid STCW certificates as required for rank
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Valid passport and seafarer's documentation
• Proficiency in English communication
• Relevant cargo-handling certification as applicable
