Job Description:
Faststream Recruitment Group is partnering with a market-leading operator to recruit an experienced Master for a newbuild Oil/Chemical Tanker. This is an exciting opportunity to join the vessel from delivery and become part of the operation from the very beginning. The successful candidate will be a fluent French-speaking senior officer with proven experience on oil/chemical tankers and IGF tonnage. The position offers a permanent contract, 3/3 rotation, competitive salary, bonus, and long-term career progression.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Take overall command and responsibility for the safe operation of the vessel.
Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company procedures.
Supervise navigation, cargo operations, and onboard safety management.
Lead and manage the vessel's crew and maintain high operational standards.
Support the successful delivery, commissioning, and operation of the newbuild vessel.
Requirements:
Valid Master Certificate of Competency
Minimum 12 months' sea time in rank on Oil/Chemical Tankers
Fluent French language skills
Valid Advanced IGF Code Certificate of Proficiency (CoP)
Previous experience working on IGF tonnage
Valid STCW certificates
Valid medical fitness certificate
Strong English communication skills
Relevant and valid seafarer's documents

Contract Type: Permanent
Rotation: 3 months on / 3 months off

Joining: From vessel delivery
Salary: From USD 7,010 per month + bonus
