Job Description

Naavex Ship Management Services is currently recruiting qualified and experienced seafarers for Oil and Chemical Tankers operating worldwide.

Opportunities are available for vessels up to 5,000 GRT, MR Tankers, and Oil & Chemical Tankers above 20,000 GRT. The company is seeking experienced officers, engineers, ratings, and catering personnel with previous tanker experience.

Candidates holding the preferred Certificates of Competency (CoC) for each vessel category are encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support safe tanker operations during voyages and port calls
  • Perform navigational and engine room watchkeeping duties according to rank
  • Conduct cargo handling, ballast, mooring, and maintenance operations
  • Operate and maintain propulsion, auxiliary, and electrical systems
  • Carry out deck and engine repairs and maintenance
  • Prepare meals and maintain galley hygiene standards
  • Participate in emergency drills and onboard safety meetings
  • Ensure compliance with STCW, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, and company HSE procedures
  • Maintain operational readiness and effective teamwork onboard

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the applied rank onboard similar tanker vessels
  • Minimum 12 months rank experience onboard similar vessels (MR Tanker positions)
  • Valid STCW 2010 certification package
  • Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) appropriate for the applied rank
  • Valid Oil, Chemical, and Gas Tanker training certificates
  • Valid passport, seaman book, and medical certificate
  • Good English communication skills
  • Strong technical knowledge and safety awareness
  • Ability to work effectively in multinational crews
  • Physically and medically fit for sea service
