Job Description

A reputable shipping company is currently recruiting a full crew of qualified and experienced seafarers to join a RoRO (Roll-on/Roll-off) Vessel.

The company is seeking deck officers, engineering officers, ETO, deck and engine ratings, and catering personnel. Successful candidates will support safe navigation, vehicle and cargo operations, engine room management, vessel maintenance, and onboard catering while maintaining compliance with international maritime regulations and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Perform duties according to the assigned rank and company procedures
• Support safe navigation and bridge watchkeeping operations
• Assist with RoRO cargo, vehicle loading, discharge, securing, and lashing operations as applicable
• Conduct deck maintenance, mooring, anchoring, and safety activities
• Operate and maintain propulsion, auxiliary, electrical, and technical systems
• Carry out planned maintenance, inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting
• Maintain vehicle decks, cargo spaces, deck equipment, and operational areas
• Participate in emergency drills, toolbox talks, and onboard safety meetings
• Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, ISM Code, and company HSE procedures
• Maintain operational readiness and effective teamwork throughout the voyage

Requirements

• Valid license / certificate appropriate to the applied position
• Previous experience in the same rank is required
• Previous RoRO / RoRO Passenger / RoRO Cargo vessel experience is preferred
• Experience on other cargo vessels may be considered depending on the position
• Valid STCW certification package
• Valid Passport and Seaman’s Book
• Valid Medical Certificate
Valid Schengen visa is mandatory
• Relevant professional certificates and qualifications for the applied position
• Good English communication skills
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work effectively within a multinational crew
• All certificates and documents must be valid and up to date
• Physically and medically fit for sea service

Position-Specific Requirements

Master
• Valid Master Certificate of Competency
• Previous command experience on RoRO or similar cargo vessels
• Strong navigation, cargo, and safety management experience

2nd Officer / 3rd Officer
• Valid OOW / relevant Certificate of Competency
• Previous RoRO or cargo vessel experience preferred
• Good navigation and watchkeeping skills

2nd Engineer / 3rd Engineer / 4th Engineer
• Valid Engineering CoC appropriate to rank
• Previous RoRO or cargo vessel engineering experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of propulsion and auxiliary machinery

Bosun / AB / OS
• Valid deck rating certification as applicable
• Previous RoRO or cargo vessel experience preferred
• Experience with mooring, deck maintenance, cargo operations, and lashing is an advantage

ETO
• Valid Electro Technical Officer certification
• Previous marine electrical and automation experience
• Experience with RoRO vessel systems preferred

Oiler / Fitter / Wiper
• Relevant engine-room or mechanical experience
• Appropriate STCW and technical certification
• Experience with marine machinery maintenance preferred

Chief Cook / Cook / 2nd Cook / Messman
• Previous marine catering experience preferred
• Valid food hygiene / food safety certification where applicable
• Ability to prepare and serve meals for a multinational crew
• Good knowledge of galley hygiene and sanitation standards
