Job Description:

A reputable shipping company is currently recruiting qualified and experienced seafarers for deployment onboard General Cargo Vessels operating in European waters.

The company is seeking experienced deck officers, ratings, engineers, technical crew, and catering personnel. Successful candidates will support safe navigation, cargo operations, engine room management, vessel maintenance, and onboard catering while ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations and company operating standards.

Candidates with previous General Cargo Vessel experience are preferred. Seafarers with experience on Bulk Carriers, Container Vessels, or other cargo vessel types may also be considered depending on their relevant cargo handling and operational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Perform duties according to the assigned rank and company procedures
• Support safe navigation, bridge watchkeeping, cargo handling, and vessel operations
• Conduct cargo loading, discharge, securing, and cargo care activities
• Operate and maintain deck, engine room, and auxiliary equipment
• Carry out planned maintenance, inspections, and repairs
• Support mooring, anchoring, deck maintenance, and safety operations
• Provide professional catering services and maintain galley hygiene
• Ensure compliance with ISM, STCW, MARPOL, SOLAS, and company HSE procedures
• Participate in emergency drills, safety meetings, and onboard training
• Maintain operational readiness and effective teamwork throughout the voyage

Requirements:

• Previous experience on General Cargo Vessels preferred
• Experience on Bulk Carriers, Container Vessels, or other cargo vessels may be accepted depending on relevant experience
• Relevant rank experience required
• Valid STCW certification package
• Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) for officer and engineer positions
• Valid Passport, Seaman’s Book, and Medical Certificate
• Good English communication skills
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work effectively within a multinational crew
• All certificates and documents must be valid and up to date
• Physically and medically fit for sea service

• Valid OOW / relevant CoC
• Previous cargo vessel navigation and watchkeeping experience

• Valid deck rating certificates
• Relevant deck maintenance and cargo operation experience

AB / Fitter
• Valid AB certification
• Relevant mechanical, maintenance, and fabrication experience

AB / Cook
• Valid AB certification
• Relevant cooking and galley experience

Chief Engineer / Second Engineer / Third Engineer
• Valid engineering CoC appropriate to the rank
• Relevant cargo vessel engine-room experience

Fitter / Wiper
• Relevant engine-room or mechanical experience
• Appropriate technical and STCW certification where applicable

Chief Cook / Second Cook
• Relevant marine catering experience
• Food Hygiene / Food Safety certification preferred
• Experience preparing meals for multinational crews
