Job Description

CSM Indonesia is urgently recruiting qualified and experienced seafarers to join a Bulk Carrier Vessel.

The company is seeking experienced deck officers, engineering officers, electrical personnel, deck and engine ratings, and catering crew. Successful candidates will support safe navigation, cargo operations, engine-room management, vessel maintenance, and onboard catering while maintaining compliance with international maritime regulations and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the assigned position, duties may include but are not limited to:

• Perform duties according to the assigned rank and company procedures
• Support safe navigation and bridge watchkeeping operations
• Assist with bulk cargo loading, discharge, trimming, securing, and cargo care
• Perform deck maintenance, mooring, anchoring, and safety operations
• Operate and maintain propulsion, auxiliary, electrical, and vessel equipment
• Carry out planned and corrective maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting
• Maintain cargo spaces, deck equipment, engine-room areas, and operational systems
• Participate in emergency drills, toolbox talks, and onboard safety meetings
• Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, ISM Code, and company HSE procedures
• Maintain operational readiness and effective teamwork onboard

Requirements

• Previous relevant experience on Bulk Carrier vessels required
• Previous experience in the same rank preferred
• Valid STCW 2010 certification package
• Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) / Certificate of Proficiency (COP) applicable to the position
• Valid Passport, Seaman’s Book, and Medical Certificate
• Relevant professional certificates and qualifications
• Good English communication skills
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a multinational crew environment
• All certificates and documents must be valid and up to date
• Physically and medically fit for sea service
• Ready to join according to vessel requirements

Position-Specific Requirements

Chief Officer
• Valid Chief Officer Certificate of Competency
• Previous Bulk Carrier experience
• Strong cargo handling, deck management, and safety experience

2nd Officer / 3rd Officer
• Valid OOW / relevant Certificate of Competency
• Previous Bulk Carrier navigation and watchkeeping experience
• Good knowledge of cargo operations and vessel safety procedures

2nd Engineer / 3rd Engineer / 4th Engineer
• Valid Engineering CoC appropriate to rank
• Previous Bulk Carrier engineering experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of propulsion and auxiliary machinery
• Experience with planned maintenance and troubleshooting

Electrician
• Relevant marine electrical qualification
• Previous vessel electrical maintenance experience preferred
• Knowledge of electrical, automation, and control systems

Bosun
• Previous Bosun experience on Bulk Carriers or similar cargo vessels
• Strong deck maintenance, mooring, and cargo-handling skills

AB
• Valid Able Seafarer Deck certification
• Previous Bulk Carrier experience preferred
• Experience with mooring, deck maintenance, and cargo operations

OS
• Valid relevant deck rating certification
• Previous sea service preferred
• Ability to support deck maintenance and cargo operations

Oiler
• Valid engine-room rating certification
• Previous Oiler experience on Bulk Carriers preferred
• Knowledge of machinery maintenance and engine-room operations

Cook
• Previous Cook experience onboard vessels preferred
• Relevant Food Hygiene / Food Safety certification where applicable
• Ability to prepare meals for a multinational crew

Messman
• Previous Messman / Steward experience onboard vessels preferred
• Knowledge of housekeeping, mess-room service, and hygiene standards
