Job Description
OSM Thome is currently recruiting qualified and experienced maritime professionals to join its Oil / Chemical Tanker Vessel fleet operating on international trading routes.
The company is seeking experienced officers, junior officers, engineers, electro-technical personnel, deck ratings, engine ratings, and catering crew to support safe tanker operations while maintaining full compliance with international maritime regulations and company HSE standards.

Job Responsibilities
Depending on the assigned position, duties may include:
- Perform duties according to the assigned rank and company procedures.
- Support safe oil and chemical tanker navigation and cargo operations.
- Conduct navigational, engine-room, deck, or electrical watchkeeping as applicable.
- Operate and maintain propulsion, auxiliary, electrical, cargo, and deck equipment.
- Support loading, discharge, tank cleaning, mooring, and cargo-care operations.
- Carry out planned maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Maintain vessel equipment and operational readiness.
- Prepare and maintain required operational and technical documentation.
- Participate in emergency drills, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
- Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, ISM Code, and company HSE procedures.
- Work effectively within a professional multinational crew.
Requirements
General Requirements
- Previous experience in the relevant rank.
- Previous Oil Tanker / Chemical Tanker experience preferred.
- Valid STCW 2010 certification relevant to the applied position.
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) / Certificate of Proficiency (COP) where applicable.
- Valid tanker-specific training certificates where required.
- Valid passport, seaman's book, and medical fitness certificate.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong safety awareness and teamwork abilities.
- Professional attitude and commitment to safe tanker operations.
- Physically and medically fit for sea service.
Position-Specific Requirements
- Master / Chief Officer / Deck Officers: Valid Deck Officer CoC and relevant tanker experience.
- Junior Deck Officer: Appropriate junior officer certification and relevant deck experience.
- Chief / Second / Third / Fourth Engineer: Valid Engineer CoC and relevant tanker/engine-room experience.
- Junior 3rd / Junior 4th Engineer: Relevant junior engineering qualification and practical engine-room experience.
- ETO/ETR: Valid electro-technical certification and relevant vessel experience.
- Bosun / AB / OS: Valid deck rating COP and relevant tanker experience where applicable.
- Oiler / Fitter / Motorman: Relevant engine-rating or trade qualifications and vessel experience.
- Chief Cook: Previous shipboard catering experience and valid food hygiene certification where applicable.
